I was just looking at my flyer at it reads for more information go to their website at: www.madisonchildrensmuseum.org web page You can download the flyer there.
I think some MCM goers have picked things up for others but honestly, it's really chaotic and there are limits so most just get things for themselves or family members. I wish I could get a Lindsey but I don't have the nerve to ask anybody since anyone who has a chance for Lindsey will want her for themselves.
I also want all of Kit's stuff that's on sale!! Geesh! I could get all of it for around $100!!!

Doll Limits went up this year. Kits trunk is costing more as last year it was $60.00. I was sad that we couldn't get more dolls last year - I am still waiting to see If I will be going
Wow, I am surprised that they are still selling Lindsey and the yellow and blue beds. It is so hard to believe that these three items they have so many in stock that they can keep selling them each year.
Did you see all the dolls in the last meet outfit. That outfit has been gone for years and years. You would think that they could switch the outfits and just sell the old meet dress instead of the doll and outfit. I think we have to pay so much for the dolls and outfits because they seem to over order items and then not keep them in the catalog until they are sold out. I know there are great deals for people that can make it to the sale. Wish I could.

Yikes, please tell me they take Credit Cards!
Someone is confused, maybe it's me. But I can't find anything about limits, yellow trundle beds, Lindsey or a price for Kit's trunk. Are ya'll looking at the correct flyer? It's the bottom four pics. The pics that say "salelistflyer03" and "salelistflyer04" are from 2003 and 2004.
I agree. I can't find any prices listed in the new flyer except the "hot deals". And I know for a fact that Kailey was $85 last year. She was $60 back in 2004.

Agh, no fair! They probably have a very limited number of things I want, given that I just want a few dresses for Kirsten. And unless I got probably all 3 of her retired dresses, I wouldn't make up for the airfare and hotel room to get there.
But I want to go anyway!!!! I'm such a bargain-hunter. Although, if I went, I'd probably walk away with a doll (I know, to you people that'd be a good thing... ). Ah well; maybe next year.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't find the outfits you are looking for. The sale has great deals, but they have very few, if any, rare retired items, and those that they do have are usually scarfed up by the volunteers way before the sale even starts, or now put in the silent auction. I highly doubt that there will be any Lindseys available this year-we were in the very first group that went in last year at 7:00, and I think there were 3 Lindseys, which were taken immediately. I was told that they had had over 350, but the volunteers got them all. I do think that they will have Marisol, and maybe even still some Kaileys, and a few Jesses. I think whoever read about Lindsey was looking at a page from a few years ago.unless I got probably all 3 of her retired dresses, I wouldn't make up for the airfare and hotel room to get there.
Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that it would be even remotely likely that I'd get any of Kirsten's retired items. Just that that's the only way it could possibly balance out the airfare and hotel. At least, without buying things that I don't really need. Considering the trip would probably cost $500 or more, I could probably outright buy everything of Kirsten's that I ever fancied on the website...and considering I don't want Kirsten's furniture, I could quite possibly buy Nellie and Kit too, or a retired outfit or two...and come out spending the same as just the trip itself, not even counting the amount it would cost to buy things at the sale. (But...but...BARGAINS!!! ) If I lived within driving distance, I'd definitely go, though, even with crazy-high gas prices. IMO it would be loads of fun, although I'm not aggressive enough so I might miss out on some really great deals because I probably wouldn't, you know, shove someone to get it.
(Of course, I REALLY wish I were one of the volunteers! )
